Mr Imran Haq
MA Oxon MBBS AICSM FEBO FRCOphth

Dr Imran Haq studied Medicine at The Queen's College, University of Oxford, completing his training at Imperial College, London - working at St. Mary's Hospital Paddington and Ealing Hospital, Middlesex.

​

He subsequently proceeded with his Specialist Surgical Training at The Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield (one of three Ocular Oncology Centres in the United Kingdom) and is now a Consultant Ophthalmic, Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgeon working in the NHS as well as being Founder CEO of Sonzaikan - using Artificial Intelligence to make Medicine Human Again.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Haq is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Academic Department of Medical Education at the University of Sheffield, and was the College Tutor for surgeons in training.

​

Dr Haq is a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmology, and a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology. He is also one of NHS England's prestigious Clinical Entrepreneurship Fellows and has been awarded the Royal National Institute for the Blind's (RNIB) Vision Pioneer Award.
